If you’ve attended your fair share of bridal showers, you are probably tired of receiving the same old tin of chocolates or mints. So when planning a bridal shower, you are probably looking for creative ideas for favors that haven’t been used before. Therefore, we have compiled a list of favor ideas that your guests will surely love!
Girly Gifts for Your Guests
Remember those sleepovers with your girlfriends when you were younger when you danced around in your pajamas singing into hairbrushes? Bring back those fun-filled memories by creating a CD full of music that girls love rocking out to and pass out a copy to each guest to bring home with them. Include songs such as “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and “It’s Raining Men.” Another cute idea is to set up a counter full of the bride’s favorite beauty items. Give each guest a traveling makeup bag and let her choose items to fill their bag. Include an assortment of lip-glosses, miniature nail polish bottles, lip balm, eye shadows and lipsticks.
Add A Personal Touch to Your Favors
Give your guests personalized favors such as a water bottle with customized labels on them. You could make labels with a photo of the couple along with their names or perhaps a clever quote about love or marriage. You could also use this same idea but with custom-made candy wrappers. For a DIY project, buy plain tea light holders and decorate them with fabric, crystal strands, lace and feathers. These tea light holders are great small gifts for guests to place around their homes. Another creative idea is to make chalked wine glasses. Buy inexpensive, plain wine glasses and chalkboard paint. Dip the bottle of the wine glasses into the paint and let them dry. Give each guest their own set of two glasses and some chalk. These glasses make great gifts because they are easy to mark so you can avoid drinking from the wrong glass again. Involve your guests in making the favors for your bridal shower, too. With the RSVP card, ask each guest to write down her favorite recipe. Compile these recipes, the bride’s favorite recipes and family recipes into a personal cookbook and make copies for each of the guests to take home and enjoy!
These are just a few ideas that will set your favors apart from all of the rest! Be sure to read the second part of our bridal shower favors article where you can find additional ideas that are food-related!
