Seychelles Representatives Attend the 2012 Gasco Travel and Tourism Show

By Keith Howard

For the past five years, the operating company Gasco has been holding a travel and tourism show for its employees, and 2012 saw the sixth show being held from May 6th to May 9th in Abu Dhabi at the Sheikh Khalifa Energy Complex. The show gives employees and their families a chance to see the different holiday packages and promotions that are available and this year the Seychelles was highlighted as a new holiday destination.

Ms. Aliette Esther who is the Tourism Attach at the Republic of Seychelles Embassy in Abu Dhabi was there to present the Seychelles at the show. Not only could visitors see a number of different booklets and brochures about the Seychelles, they also got an opportunity to sample some of the tastes of the Seychelles in the form of cassava chips, banana and exotic breadfruit. And all of these were delightfully showcased in a coconut zanpon.

The main reason for the Seychelles participating in the show was to ensure that tourists from Abu Dhabi were made aware of the fact that the islands are one of the most picturesque and perfect places for a holiday. Ms. Esther also wanted to promote Seychelles not only as a honeymoon destination but also as a place for those interested in sailing and fishing and as the ideal family destination.

These days there are either daily or twice daily flights between the Seychelles and the Middle East so the islands have become even more accessible and another benefit is the fact that there are no visa requirements. Every visitor to the Seychelles automatically gets a free thirty day visa when they arrive at the airport.

The Seychelles has long been a destination for all inclusive honeymoon packages and for those who want to have their actual wedding ceremony there. However, these days, there are more families travelling to the Seychelles for a relaxing time in these wonderful islands. The tourism industry in the Seychelles is keen to promote the islands as a destination that would suit everyone.

The stunning islands are nestled in the Indian Ocean and have a fabulous year round climate which means that no matter when you visit, you can be almost guaranteed to have perfect weather. There is plenty to see and do so don’t make the mistake of assuming that it is only white beaches and blue water here — as if that wasn’t enough!

The Seychelles offers tourists the chance to explore some of the most beautiful uninhabited islands on the planet. With around 115 islands of which over 100 are uninhabited, you really could find a perfect tropical paradise here. Island hopping is popular with tourists and there are a number of tours that will accommodate you in this regard. Seeing some of these totally unspoilt locations is something you will remember forever.

Family holidays to the Seychelles are an excellent way for the whole family to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. So remember, that it is not just all inclusive honeymoon packages that are catered for in the Seychelles.

If you want to visit these beautiful islands with your family, then Airworld Tours can accommodate you. They are a UK based luxury holiday travel company that have a host of Seychelles packages available right now.
